Request to DE Dept. of Transportation (DelDot) to Lower Rt. 1Speed Limit During Peak Season ---Approved by Town Council on 10/15/21
 
  • Decrease from 35 mph to 30 mph on Delaware Route 1 in the Corporate Limits of Bethany Beach from May 1 to October 15
  • Approved Resolution sent to 3 neighboring communities (South Bethany, Middlesex, Sea Colony)
  • More communities with approved Resolutions could increase chances for DelDot approval
 
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Installed in Town
 
  • Each station can charge 2 vehicles - enough for 8 vechicles total
  • Should be operational on 12/1/21
Comcast Coming to Residential BB
 
  • More telecommunication choices for residents!
  • Installation of fiber optic cabling has begun in the Canal Community
  • Lake Bethany will be next
  • Installation for each community takes 2-3 weeks
