Positive key points:
  • additional protection measures
  • prohibition of residential lot lines within buffers
  • requirement for buffer management plans
  • specific penalties for violations
  • buffers of 30 ft added to small streams & non-tidal wetlands
  • buffers on tidal waters & wetlands enlarged from 50 to 100 ft
Negative key points:
  • 50 ft buffer on large streams not increased
  • non-forested buffers allowed
