In case you missed the BBLA December annoucement & the "Coastal Point" coverage - read the good news about a long awaited signed agreement between DNREC & the US Army Corps of Engineers - kicks off the DE Inland Bays and DE Bay Coast Coastal Storm Risk Management Study - stay tuned for implementation updates

BBLA Board pays special attention to GROWTH issues affecting the coastal area BBLA position of "smart growth" regularly communicated to Sussex County officials - especially the County Council - great news on 1/10/23: County Council voted to deny a change from low-density area to coastal area, also a growth area, for a 247-acre parcel east of Route 1 across from the Cave Neck Road intersection - "coastal area" designation allows for development options including high-density housing (up to 12 units per acre) and commercial developmentRead More (Nick Roth photo above)
