Ellie has vacationed at Bethany Beach in the summers her whole life. In 1971 her parents bought an oceanfront house built in 1929 that survived the ’62 storm. One of her first jobs as a teenager was working at Rhodes 5 & 10. She now lives in the same house part-time and year-round when she works at Salisbury University as a Social Work professor and the coordinator of the Deaf Studies and Disability Studies Minors. Her main residence is in Silver Spring, Maryland.
